IB Students Rise to the Challenge in Prestigious Fermat Math Contest Our IB1 students recently demonstrated their mathematical skills by participating in the esteemed Fermat Mathematics Contest, organized by the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). Held in the school’s computer lab, the online contest challenged students with complex mathematical problems, testing their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The Fermat Contest is renowned for its rigorous questions, spanning topics such as algebra, geometry, and number theory. Participating in this competition is a valuable experience for our IB students, offering them an opportunity to apply their knowledge in a competitive setting.
